Vision Plan
The Snelling & University Alliance is seeking funding to create a cohesive vision plan!
A cohesive vision plan will address the need for a holistic vision for the area as a whole, covering the area of approximately one square mile centered on the intersection of Snelling and University.

Creation of a cohesive vision plan will incorporate and maintain alignment with existing plans for the area, including:
Community Plans
Union Park Community Plan, Hamline Midway Community plan, Little Africa Cultural District planning
Ramsey County Plans
Equitable Development Framework, Bike and Pedestrian Plan, Transportation Plan, Climate Equity Action Plan
Small Area Plans
Fairview Station Area Plan (2008), Snelling Station Area Plan (2008), Hamline Station Area Plan (2011)

Capitol Region Watershed District, Midtown Greenway extension, United Village Master Plan, MnDOT Rethinking I-94 planning

A cohesive vision plan will:
Be an opportunity for local residents, organizations, and business owners to share their community values and vision for the neighborhood
Provide a clear sense of the community’s priorities to potential developers
Identify strategies for placemaking and public realm improvements
Provide the neighborhood with a tool for catalyzing revitalization, encouraging further investments in the area, and inspiring future development
